Dave & Margaret Vincent are our Champion fundraisers as official Leukaemia Busters representatives for Dagenham. Their support began when their then 18 month old grandson Jack was diagnosed with leukaemia in 1994. They read about Leukaemia Busters in The News of the World newspaper and decided to throw their weight behind fundraising for the charity. Happily Jack came through his treatment very successfully and is now a strapping 16 year old.
Each and every year since Jack’s diagnosis Dave and Margaret have organised a social event for friends and family at the Dagenhan & Redbridge Football Club raising ten’s of thousands of pounds for the charity over the period. The sparkling event is always heavily attended and always boasts a sprinkling of celeb footballers and politicians to add to the excitement of the night. This years event is scheduled to take place on Saturday 31st October.
